Accepting MyBank as a merchant
MyBank is a European pay by bank solution, owned and managed by PRETA S.A.S., which is currently controlled by EBA CLEARING. It went to market in 2013. The shopper chooses their bank at checkout, logs in to their own online banking and authorises a pre-filled SEPA credit transfer, which is irrevocable and confirmed immediately. MyBank reports a total transaction volume of 60 billion euro since launch, and states that the B2B segment accounted for 75% of its 2024 volume. On a method that carries large business payments, whether the fee is fixed or a percentage sets the cost more than its level does.

MyBank does not contract merchants itself. Its services are offered by participating banks and other licensed PSPs, and activation means contacting one of them. MyBank states that the cost and the technical set-up depend on the bank or PSP you choose. Nexi, for example, documents that the method has to be requested when the contract with Nexi is signed before it appears on the payment page.
Integration runs through the provider: a MyBank button in your checkout, or a payment link for orders taken outside the webshop.
Rails
MyBank is a SEPA credit transfer, authorised in the shopper's own bank
A MyBank payment is a SEPA credit transfer from the payer's account to yours. The payer authorises it in their own online or mobile banking, with the credentials they already use there, and MyBank sends both sides an immediate confirmation. No card scheme, issuer or acquirer sits in the chain, so there is no interchange and no scheme fee to pass through.
The transfer is irrevocable. MyBank states that merchants do not need to process chargebacks for MyBank payments, which removes the dispute cycle a card payment carries. The other side of that is that nothing is stored for later: Nexi lists recurring and one-click payments as not supported, so every MyBank payment is a new authorisation by the payer.
Confirmation is not the same as funds on your account. MyBank confirms the payment at once; when the money reaches your bank account is set by your PSP's settlement cycle, and that is a term to read in your own contract.
Where MyBank is used
Italy is the home market. MyBank has been present on pagoPA, the Italian platform for payments to public administration, since 2014, and in November 2024 MyBank reported that it had been added to the pagoPA web applications and to app IO. In July 2025 MyBank reported that it had extended its reach in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and more recently France.
The shopper's bank has to be in the network, and MyBank states that over 400 banks and PSPs have joined it. PSPs publish their own, narrower country lists: HiPay lists Italy, Belgium, Spain and Portugal, and Nexi lists Italy. Payments are in euro only. Offer MyBank where your checkout data shows Italian payers first, and where your business customers already pay you by transfer.
Pricing
MyBank publishes no price, PSPs publish four different shapes
MyBank states that the costs of its services depend on the terms set by the participating bank or PSP. There is no scheme tariff to point to, so the PSP's published rate is the only public reference.
Four published rates sit in the index, each for a different merchant country. Banco Sabadell, through PAYCOMET in Spain, publishes a processing fee of 0.09 euro plus 0.75 euro per transaction. Lyra in Germany publishes 2% plus 0.35 euro, as indicative rates. Axerve in Italy publishes 3.00% plus 5 euro, plus 0.50 euro and VAT per processing request, with a one-off activation fee of 150 euro. Worldline in Italy publishes maximum rates of 3.00% plus 15.00 euro, with a minimum of 3.00 euro.
On a 100 euro order that comes to 0.84 euro, 2.35 euro, 8.50 euro before VAT and, at Worldline's maximum, 18.00 euro. These are published list prices and the comparison is illustrative: the four rates apply in different countries, and the quoted rate decides what a merchant actually pays.
Ticket
On a method built for large payments, a percentage price grows with the invoice
MyBank states that it enables transactions without amount limits, and three quarters of its 2024 volume was B2B. A percentage price grows with every euro of the invoice, a fixed price does not. On a 5,000 euro invoice the four published shapes come to 0.84 euro, 100.35 euro, 155.50 euro before VAT and 165.00 euro.
Take 2 million euro a year of business payments by MyBank at an average of 5,000 euro, so 400 payments. At a fixed 0.84 euro per payment the year costs 336 euro. At 2% plus 0.35 euro it costs 40,140 euro. The difference of about 39,800 euro comes from how the price is built. The example is illustrative, the two rates apply in different countries, and the quoted rate decides what a merchant actually pays. Where MyBank carries invoice payments, ask for a fixed price per transaction and have the percentage removed from the quote.
Contract
The transfer cannot be reversed, so the refund route has to be agreed
Because a MyBank payment is an irrevocable transfer, a refund is a new payment from you to the payer. Whether your PSP can make it for you differs by route. HiPay documents full and partial refunds for MyBank. Nexi's developer page, marked as deprecated, lists full and partial refunds as not supported.
A merchant that cannot refund through the PSP refunds by manual transfer, outside the order system and outside reconciliation. Fix in writing whether full and partial refunds run through the PSP, up to how long after the payment, at what fee, and how a refund appears in the settlement report.
MyBank BNPL B2B adds payment terms to the same button
MyBank presents MyBank BNPL B2B, under which business buyers defer payment with typical terms of 30, 60, 90 or 120 days, depending on the agreement and eligibility. The supplier receives the full amount upon proof of delivery or invoice, without bearing the risk of non-payment; financing and repayment are handled by a partner provider, and the buyer pays interest on the financed amount.
MyBank states that merchants can offer it at no additional cost and without further development, and that it is available to businesses onboarded to the service. That is MyBank's statement. Ask your PSP whether onboarding is available on your route and whether your quoted rate changes for a deferred payment.
Which payment providers support MyBank
In the index, Antom (Ant International), Axerve, Banco Sabadell, Finby (formerly TrustPay), HiPay, Lyra, Nexi, Novalnet, Payplug, Trust Payments and Worldline offer MyBank to merchants established in Europe. Participating banks can also offer it to their own business customers.
The questions to put to each are the same: whether the price is fixed or a percentage, how a full and a partial refund are made, when the funds reach your account, and whether MyBank BNPL B2B is available on that route.
