Uw effectieve tarief hangt dus sterk af van uw verhouding debit tot credit, en die is een gevolg van uw klantenbestand en niet iets wat u rechtstreeks stuurt. Wat u wel stuurt is of uw contract die verhouding weerspiegelt. Onder pass-through betaalt een debit-zware onderneming debit-economie. Onder een blended tarief betaalt zij het gemiddelde, en het verschil is de marge van uw provider.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_2 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_2 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec paper\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Interchange<\/p>\n    <h2>Wat de debitcap waard is op uw gemiddelde orderwaarde<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Interchange op een consumer debitcard die in de EER is uitgegeven is door artikel 3(1) van Verordening (EU) 2015\/751 begrensd op 0,2 procent van de transactiewaarde, tegen 0,3 procent op een consumer creditcard. Op een order van 60 euro is dat 12 cent interchange in plaats van 18.<\/p><p>De cap is niet \u00e9\u00e9n getal in heel Europa. Artikel 3(2) laat een lidstaat voor binnenlandse debittransacties kiezen tussen een percentage lager dan 0,2 procent met een vast maximumbedrag op de fee die dat percentage oplevert, of een vergoeding per transactie van ten hoogste 5 cent, die gecombineerd mag worden met een percentage van ten hoogste 0,2 procent zolang het scheme binnen 0,2 procent van zijn totale jaarlijkse binnenlandse debitwaarde blijft.<\/p><p>Welke van die twee een markt toepast bepaalt of debit voor u werkelijk goedkoop is. Bij een vergoeding van 5 cent per transactie betaalt een mandje van 12 euro 5 cent waar het percentage 2 cent had opgeleverd. Bij een vast maximum stopt een mandje van 400 euro ruim onder de 80 cent die het percentage zou hebben geproduceerd. De gemiddelde orderwaarde verandert dus de interchange op een identieke kaart, en bij 500.000 binnenlandse debittransacties per jaar is een verschil van 3 cent per stuk 15.000 euro rechtstreeks van uw EBITDA. Een blended tarief rapporteert daar niets van.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_3 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_3 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_3 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_3 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Classificatie<\/p>\n    <h2>De kaart die eens per maand wordt afgeschreven prijst als credit<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>De verordening deelt een kaart niet in op merk of op wat de issuer hem noemt. Artikel 2(4) definieert een debittransactie als elke kaartbetaling, prepaid inbegrepen, die geen credittransactie is. Artikel 2(5) definieert een credittransactie als een transactie waarvan het bedrag geheel of gedeeltelijk op een vooraf afgesproken kalenderdatum per maand wordt afgeschreven, in lijn met een vooraf geregelde kredietfaciliteit, met of zonder rente.<\/p><p>Overweging 17 is expliciet dat deferred debit cards, waarbij het totaal op een vaste datum per maand van de rekening van de kaarthouder wordt gehaald zonder rente, een van de twee hoofdvormen van creditcard zijn. Een kaart die de houder als debit ervaart, en die uw eigen rapportage als debit kan tellen, is onder de verordening dus een credittransactie en draagt de cap van 0,3 procent en niet die van 0,2.<\/p><p>Andersom is net zoveel waard. Prepaid valt binnen de debitdefinitie, dus prepaidvolume prijst tegen de debitcap. Trek pas een conclusie over uw verhouding debit tot credit als u weet welke classificatie uw acquirer toepast, want de splitsing die uw volume prijst is de regulatoire en niet het woord dat op de kaart staat.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_4 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_4 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_4 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec paper\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <h2>De Maestro-migratie verplaatst nog steeds volume<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Mastercard geeft sinds 1 juli 2023 geen Maestro meer uit in Europa en bestaande kaarten lopen tot hun vervaldatum, uiterlijk 2027. Volume verschuift daardoor doorlopend van Maestro naar Debit Mastercard, zonder enige wijziging in uw contract. Behandelt uw tarievenkaart die twee verschillend, dan verschuift uw effectieve kostprijs al drie jaar ongemerkt. Zeer weinig merchants hebben dat gecontroleerd.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_5 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_5 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_5 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_5 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Autorisatie<\/p>\n    <h2>Een hold op een debitcard is het eigen geld van de klant<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Op een creditcard verlaagt een autorisatie een beschikbare kredietlimiet. Op een debitcard verlaagt hij het saldo op een betaalrekening, en de regels eromheen zijn strenger dan de meeste checkoutteams aannemen.<\/p><p>Artikel 75 van PSD2 gaat over kaartbetalingen waarvan het exacte bedrag niet bekend is op het moment dat de betaler instemt. De betaaldienstverlener van de betaler mag alleen geld blokkeren wanneer de betaler heeft ingestemd met het exacte te blokkeren bedrag, en dat geld moet zonder onnodige vertraging worden vrijgegeven zodra het exacte bedrag bekend is, uiterlijk direct na ontvangst van de betaalopdracht. Overweging 75 noemt onbemande tankstations, autoverhuurcontracten en hotelreserveringen als de gevallen die in beeld zijn.<\/p><p>De commerci\u00eble lezing is eenvoudig. Elk uur tussen autorisatie en capture is geld dat uw klant niet kan uitgeven. Te ruime pre-autorisaties en trage captures leveren supportcontacten op, verloren herhaalaankopen en geschillen die er nooit hadden hoeven zijn. De hold zetten op het bedrag dat u werkelijk gaat innen, en de tijd tot capture verkorten, is een retentiebeslissing en geen operationeel detail.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_6 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_6 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_6 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_6 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec dark\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <p class=\"eyebrow\">Terugbetalingen<\/p>\n    <h2>De achtwekenclaim op een bedrag dat niemand vooraf heeft afgesproken<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Artikel 76 van PSD2 geeft de betaler recht op terugbetaling door zijn eigen betaaldienstverlener bij een geautoriseerde transactie die door of via de begunstigde is ge\u00efnitieerd, wanneer het exacte bedrag niet in de autorisatie stond en het afgeschreven bedrag hoger uitviel dan de betaler redelijkerwijs kon verwachten. Artikel 77 geeft hem acht weken vanaf de datum waarop het geld is afgeschreven om daarom te vragen.<\/p><p>Dit is geen chargeback en het begint niet bij uw acquirer. Het ligt bij de eigen bank van de kaarthouder, en het geldt precies voor de flows die artikel 75 beschrijft: de eindafrekening van het hotel, het tankbedrag, de afrekening van de huurauto, het abonnement waarvan het bedrag beweegt. Overal waar u nu autoriseert en het bedrag later vaststelt, staat dit recht open.<\/p><p>Wat u beschermt is bewijs dat het bedrag te verwachten was. Een genoemde bandbreedte op het moment van instemming, een bevestiging zodra het bedrag vaststaat, en voorwaarden die de klant aantoonbaar heeft gezien, maken van meer dan redelijkerwijs te verwachten een gedocumenteerd getal. Merchants die tussen autorisatie en settlement niets sturen dragen deze blootstelling zonder haar ooit te hebben geprijsd.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_7 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_7 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_7 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_7 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <h2>Australi\u00eb: wat er verandert op 1 oktober 2026<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Het Conclusions Paper van de Reserve Bank of Australia van 31 maart 2026 schrapt surcharging op de aangewezen netwerken, waaronder Mastercard debit, per 1 oktober 2026, verlaagt de binnenlandse interchange-caps, voert caps in op interchange van buitenlandse kaarten en verplicht netwerken en grote acquirers hun tarieven te publiceren. Voor Australische merchants zijn de kosten vanaf die datum niet meer op de klant te verhalen, en of de lagere interchange bij u landt hangt af van pass-through versus blended.<\/p><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_8 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section es-page-sec\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_8 et_pb_row et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_8 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_code_8 et_pb_code et_pb_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><div class=\"es-page\">\n<section class=\"sec paper\">\n  <div class=\"wrap\">\n    <h2>Welke payment provider ondersteunt Debit Mastercard?<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"rule\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"body\"><p>Mastercard-acceptatie wordt onder meer gedocumenteerd door Adyen, Checkout.com, Stripe, Worldpay, Braintree, Computop en Mollie; Debit Mastercard valt daaronder en vraagt geen aparte acceptatie-instelling. Adyen, Nexi, Trust Payments en Buckaroo noemen Debit Mastercard daarnaast los van credit in hun documentatie. Iedere acquirer accepteert hem, dus vraag liever wat uw effectieve debittarief is, of debit en credit apart worden geprijsd, en welk deel van uw kaartvolume debit is. Dat laatste getal bepaalt of uw tariefstructuur bij uw bedrijf past, en de meeste merchants hebben het nooit te zien gekregen.<\/p><\/div>\n
